A client needed his porch rebuilt. I was
booked two and a half years out, so did a
little shoring up at the first floor level
to buy some time until I could rebuild it,
then kept an eye on it.

Now, two years and a lot of deterioration
later, I determined it needed more serious
shoring up to keep it from collapsing over
the winter.

Next spring I'll be rebuilding it, which
primarily involves replacing the beam
structure at the level of the first floor
ceiling, rebuilding column bases, and
replacing a lot of flooring.

(2023 note: The shoring is TOO good.
It could last indefinitely. Thus, the
client has delayed the porch rebuild
until 2024 or 2025.)
