GRABBER, screen capture program for DOS

   * grab398.zip    (390 KB)

Grab398.zip, above, are the zipped files of
my favorite screen capture program, Grabber.
This is the freeware demo version.

(Unzip it with Winzip. If you let Windows xp
unzip it, xp might give you an error message.)

Included in the files is an order form for the
registered version, but it won't do you any good,
as the author seems to have dissappeared from the
face of the earth. The demo version is fully
functional except that it adds a small Grabber
icon to the corner of all your screen captures.
It also periodically reminds you to buy the
registered version.

This TSR (terminate and stay in residence) program will allow you to capture your graphics screen using a hotkey. You first run "Grabber" from DOS. You then enter your programming environment. "Grabber" is resident in memory. You can save as many graphic screens as you like with a strike of a key. You can save them as executables or as PCX files (or convert the executables to PCX or GIFS later on). You can then print out copies using any paint program which displays PCX or GIF files. (I use Paint Shop Pro from Jasc Software for this.) sitemap
